The Continuous Innovation Network (CINet) is a global network set up to bring together researchers and industrialists working in the field of Continuous Innovation. Consistent with its mission, CINet organizes an annual conference. This announcement concerns the 27th CINet conference, which will take place in Genoa, Italy, hosted by the Department of Mechanical, Energy, Management and Transportation Engineering of the University of Genoa, on 13-15 September, 2026. The theme of the conference is “Innovation in the Age of Complexity”.
Furthermore, coinciding with the 27th CINet conference, a PhD workshop is organized on 11-15 September. Besides that, we will introduce a new initiative: "CINet Hot Topics". This session will focus on cutting-edge ideas, disruptive developments, and future challenges that shape our research field. This session will be held on the afternoon of 15 September, shortly before the welcoming reception.
Three types of contributions are invited:
While most papers presented at the conference are not ready for publication, many provide a good starting point but require additional work before they are publishable. CINet organizes a paper development workshop for papers selected for one or two journal special issues approx. one month after the conference, to help the invited authors to develop their paper to publishable standard.
Submit your abstract for double blind peer review before 10 April 2026.
More and regularly updated information can be found on the conference website.
