13 September 2026, 16:00-18:00, Genoa, Italy
We are excited to introduce "CINet Hot Topics"; a new initiative designed to spark dialogue on emerging trends and pressing issues in our field. This session, led by CINet Board Members Luca Gastaldi, Daniel Trabucchi, and Magnus Persson, will focus on the role of Generative AI in research. Open to all conference participants upon registration, the session will offer a safe and open space to exchange experiences, ideas, and perspectives. By placing personal experiences at the heart of the discussion, we aim to encourage a constructive dialogue around a topic that is both timely and rapidly evolving.
The agenda of the afternoon will look as follows:
| 16:00-16:15 | Welcome, introduction and framing of the session |
| 16:15-17:00 | Sharing experiences: how are we currently using GenAI in research? |
| 17:00-17:30 | Group discussion around emerging questions and tensions |
| 17:30-18:00 | Plenary discussion: what are we learning from current experimentation, and closing reflection? |
Please note that separate registration is needed through the registration form, or by contacting the conference secretariat.
PhD students attending the conference can attend the 25th CINet PhD Workshop for free.
